Walking tires the feet ...but renews the soul.

Have you ever wanted to just go for a walk?  The kind of walk that allows you to forget everything else and just walk?

...well, this site is my attempt to share what it's like when a regular guy like me goes for a walk in the woods.

Just Released! My new book on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail!

In 1997, two of my friends took me along as they hikedResting atop Bake Oven Knob the Appalachian Trail into Harper's Ferry, WV.  As I walked with them into that quaint town, on a cloudless Sunday morning, with the wind blowing hard against my face, I knew that I was smitten with a love for the Trail.

The next time my feet were massaged by the Trail, I took a pad and pencil in an attempt to somehow record something of the Trail and bring it back to share with others.

So, with boots on feet and pen in hand,  I've walked so you can read.   Just follow the links to read my hiking  journals, and to browse the website.   Please don't forget to sign the guest book so I  know how you got here and what you think!
