Midwest Volleyball Officials Training Camp 1996

The fourth annual officials training camp for Division I officials will be held in Champaign April 12-13 in conjunction with the Networkers' Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The camp will be disigned to improve the skills of officials who want to officiate Division I Women's volleyball, and is partially sponsored by a grant from the NCAA. It is recommended for current Division I officials who want to improve their officiating or who want to be seen by supervisors from major conferences. It is also recommended for officials who wish to move up to Division I volleyball or upgrade their current rating. All experience levels are accepted.
Spots in the camp are limited. The camp fee is $100. Officials will be responsible for their own transportation, housing and meals, although lunch will be provided on Saturday. We can provide dorm rooms within walking distance for about $18/night. A few scholarships targeted for women and minority officials will be provided by the conferences. The deadline for acceptance is March 7 although it will probably be filled before that date. Please include a brief statement on why you want to attend the camp. - Coordinator MAC Officials; head of NTT Clinics; several men's and women's Final Fours; international official; chosen for the 1996 Olympics outdoor

- Official for many major conferences; several Final Fours; national official

- Coordinator Missouri Valley Conference Officials; Asst Manager in charge of competition 1996 Olympic Games; national official
