Vandergrifts' Young Adult Literature Page This site is unusual because it provides links to literature about young adult problems and concerns. In addition, it links coming-of-age literature sites, as well as traditional literature sites. 



Young Adult Reading This site provides links to multimedia resources, and topics, Real Kids, Real Adventures. 

American Literature On-line This is an academically oriented site. There are links to discussion groups, works of American authors and other academic sites related to American literature classics, Native American literature, and 19th century women authors. 

Lit Web This is a comprehensive site that provides links to genre fiction, children and young adult literature: folktales, horror, mainstream, mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy, and westerns. 



Banned Books On-line Interested in why Huck Finn, Leaves of Grass, or even the Holy Bible have been banned? This site gives a brief history behind the banning of certain titles. Excellent links to further your research. 

Books A to Z Banned Books and Censorship Includes links to several sites who deal with banned books and why the sites do so.

YALSA Home Page Provides access to the 1997 YALSA "best" lists. 



ALA "Best" Lists Provides access to all of the  ALA "best" lists, including, best books for Young Adults, selected videos and quick picks for reluctant readers.

Children's Authors This site highlights an author each month. It is also a link to other author sites and related sites for children. 



Fairrosa Cyber Library This site provides links to children's authors and young adult authors. Some of the more contemporary authors are Wilder, Sendak, and Scieska. The links provide interviews and bibliographic information. 

Literary Resources - American This location provides links to author homepages, Library of Congress related sites, bibliographies, and newsletters. This is a very comprehensive, academic site. 

Author Index Bibliographic information taken from journals and proceedings. 

The Internet Library: Ask the Author This is an excellent site for more contemporary authors. This site provides links to biographical and bibliographical information, as well as interviews with authors such as Robert Cormier, Lois Lowry, and Jane Yolen. 

Author's Pen This site provides an almost comprehensive list of important American authors. There is a search feature for authors' names and an alphabetic listing of authors with links to their works.

Awards

Award Winning Books at Story House Provides links to the sites of major award winning books, such as the Newbery, Caldecott, Edgar Allan Poe, and Coretta Scott King awards. 

AwardWeb Provides dozens of links for information on book awards--science fiction, mystery, literary, and children's literature are all presented.
