Cross Country Skiing with Riversport:
During the winter months Riversport operates the X-C Ski concession at Laurel Ridge State Park, approximately 12 miles north of confluence.
Here we maintain 20 miles of the best skiing in Pennsylvania. With beginner to expert trails, state-of-the-art grooming for both freestyle (skating) and track (classical), rentals of classical and freestyle skiis, we have it all! The picture shows the warming hut which is the center of all the trails--everything loops back to this point. We are open on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays 9 to 5 weather permitting. Call Riversport or directly to Laurel Ridge during business hours @ 724-455-7303 for conditions. We also rent snowshoes.

Note also that there is a race every year at "The Ridge" sponsored by the Pa. X-C Ski Association (PACCSA), an organization every skier should join. Members get $1.00 off a trail pass at "The Ridge" too.
