Emily
Newman won the 59th Annual Maple Queen Scholorship Pageant on Saturday,
March 4 at the Meyersdale Area High School Auditorium. The Meyersdale
Senior is the daughter of Kathy and Greg Newman. Queen Emily will serve
as the official ambassador of the Pennsylvania Maple Festival held later
this month.
Tweleve Somerset County senioir girls competed for the title. Following the talent portion of the contest, the top five princesses were selected. Joining Queen Emily were: Katie Grube, Tessa Minnick, Laura Sesack, and Lindsay Berkebile.
